The  Independent Library

The Independent Library is a podcast for independent writers seeking advice, inspiration, and community.

Writing is a difficult and thankless passion, but by sharing our experiences we can help elevate one another outside of the established and ever-narrowing mainstream. Hosted by Reinder Sebastian, The Independent Library seeks to do just this. Through interviews with indie writers that are putting in the work every day, the show strives to provide listeners with the motivation they need to do the same.

If you are interested in coming on the show for an interview, please read the following:

  • Quality audio is crucial. Please be sure you have access to a microphone beyond a simple webcam or phone. Standalone microphones or a decent headset should suffice.

    • As a note, there is no video component for this podcast. You do not need a camera!

  • Please have access to reliable, high-speed internet to ensure continued quality and connection during the length of the recording.

  • A link to your work, such as through a storefront or other location online where it can be purchased, borrowed, or read.

  • No AI-generated work! Prompt jockeys and AI bros can go elsewhere to discuss their activities.

  • You must be 18 years or older to come on the show.

Please send an email to submissions@dogwoodmanorbooks.com if you would like to come on the show to be interviewed. Add a little information about yourself and your work to the email as well (plus a link to your work; a sale page on a storefront is fine).

Can’t wait to talk to you!
